Andrew J. Botros

Born in Livingston, New Jersey, Mr. Botros is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law. While at the University of San Diego, Mr. Botros was awarded the Michael Mohr Scholarship, the S.A. Sutterfield Scholarship, and was a Finalist in the Thornes Closing Argument Competition.

Mr. Botros has practiced family law since 2010. He is one of a handful of dual Certified Family Law/Appellate Law Specialists in the state, as certified by the State Bar of California's Board of Legal Specialization. He handles all appellate matters for the firm and is an experienced and accomplished appellate lawyer. His published appellate cases include Lief v. Superior Court (2018) 30 Cal.App.5th 868, In re Marriage of Kent (2019) 35 Cal.App.5th 487, Menezes v. McDaniel (2019) 44 Cal.App.5th 340, A.M. v. Superior Court (2021) 63 Cal.App.5th 343,  Fishbein v. Segal (2023) 89 Cal.App.5th 692, and In re Marriage of Tara and Robert D. (2024) 99 Cal.App.5th 871.

Mr. Botros is a seasoned trial attorney and has extensive litigation experience in complex family law matters. In 2011 and 2012, the San Diego Daily Transcript named him a top Young Attorney for his accomplishments. Like Ms. Bickford, Mr. Botros is a Michael C. Shea award winner, having received the award in 2018. This award is given annually by the San Diego Family Law Bar Association for dedicated service to the family law bar and for mentoring young lawyers. Mr. Botros has been designated a SuperLawyer by Thomson West for the last 3 years.

Mr. Botros served as a member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the San Diego Family Law Bar Association. Mr. Botros also served as a mentor with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program.

Mr. Botros received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2006, where he graduated with Honors.

Mr. Botros is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Diego Family Law Bar Association, and the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists. He is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
